Bag Holder

My sister, who just moved into a new condo with her boyfriend, asked me to make her a plastic bag holder in light beige. I just finished it tonight and will give it to them as a housewarming present when I see the new place. :)




The bag is about 18 inches long. I used "Soft Beige" Mainstays yarn, size 9 circular needles, and two beige hair elastics.



I hope they like it, and that it stands up to lots of use! I always get nervous when I give a knitted gift. (I used this pattern.)

Learned to line

Dennis went to the store for me and bought beautiful pink fabric so I could line my knitting bag. (What a good husband I have.) The bag looks so much better--here it is:




My sewing skills need a little help, but the lining works for now. The bag keeps its shape much better and everything stays inside the bag. :)

Update

I haven't posted in a while because things have been pretty crazy with me. I started a new job and haven't had much time for knitting. (Instead of working on a project on my breaks, I've been devouring books--see sidebar). My sister requested a plastic bag holder, so that's what I'm knitting now. I'll post a picture once I finish.
