Scarf "Necklace"

I just finished making a seed stitch scarf necklace. I used the same yarn I used for the winter hat I posted about earlier. I finished this "necklace" pretty quickly--the only thing missing now is the pin!

Mom's sweater!!

I finished the sweater I'm giving my mother for Christmas! It's taken me quite a while (September 24-December 19) but I'm relatively happy with the way it came out.



This is the "A Craving to Knit" cardigan from The Yarn Girls' Guide to Simple Knits. I ended up changing the collar a little (by mistake but it turned out okay) and skipping the buttons. I used Bernat Super Value in color #53235 - Soft Green. Next time around I'll bring her shopping with me and we'll pick out more expensive yarn - I'll have a better idea what I'm doing when I make it, too!

Winter hat

Just in time for tomorrow's snow!


I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease (doubled up for extra thickness) and #9 dpns. I based my hat on this pattern, but changed it up quite a bit. It only took me 8 days to knit.



ETA: I CO 77 sts with yarn held double, followed pattern until the 5" mark, and then improvised for the decreases. It turned out great and I got years of good use out of this project! [12/09]
